LILA ALMA ZITZER
Lila A. Zitzer, 72, of Flint, formerly of Williamsburg and Corbin, KY, died Friday, March 16, 2007 in her son’s home in Flint following a short illness. She was born April 13, 1934 in Dearborn to Gordon and Gertrude (Batrow) Wilton. She married Frank W. Mitchell December 10, 1956 in Millington. He died June 13, 1981. She then married Archie Petrey June 17, 1978 in Corbin, KY. He died March 25, 1995. Lila later married Don Zitzer March 5, 2005 in Williamsburg, KY. He died February 6, 2006.
Lila enjoyed crafting including making dolls and crocheting. She liked antiquing and fishing. She loved to cook and was famous for her baked beans.
Lila is survived by her children: Frank (Dosha) Mitchell of Flint, Lila Woodley of Flint, Douglas Mitchell of Indiana, Gary (Carol) Mitchell of Caro, Robert (Stormy Elliott) Spencer of Flint; grandchildren: Debra, Tammy, Lina, Brandy, Sandra, Frank, Matt, Casandra, David, Marion, Randy, Frank, Nellie, Courtney, Tara, Jeremy, Alma, Sarah, Tammy, Crystal, Gary, Christina, Amanda, Austin; several great grandchildren; sisters: Dorothy Buckner of Flint, Elizabeth Spencer of Stanton; brother, Douglas (Kathy) Wilton of Lake City; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Patty Hatfield; brothers: Bob Wilton, George Wilton, Don Wilton; sisters: Kate Labean, Luella Summerfield.
Funeral service held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2007 in Kranz Funeral Home Cass City with Lila’s uncle, Bob Bader, officiating. Memorials may be made to Family Discretionary Fund. Interment will be in Indianfields Township Cemetery, Caro. Pallbearers for Mrs. Zitzer: Randy Brown, Gary Mitchell, Frank Mitchell, Austin Willson, Matt Mitchell, Elmer Spencer, Jr., Craig Wilton, Bruce Cain.
