Shirley Mae Zinnecker (Buschlen)

SHIRLEY MAE ZINNECKER,
90, of Cass City died following a lengthy illness Sunday, June 13, 2021 in Huron County Medical Care Facility, Bad Axe. She was born May 18, 1931 in Winsor Township to William and Edna (Gregor) Buschlen. Shirley was baptized April 29, 1962. She married William J. “Bill” Zinnecker on April 21, 1962.
He died April 24, 2021.

Shirley graduated from Pigeon High School in 1949. She worked for Walbro Corporation in Cass City and retired in 1993. During her lifetime she enjoyed gospel music, especially the “Calvarymen Quartet”, traveling, motorcycle trips with Bill, and dining out. Shirley was an active member of the Cass City United Methodist Church. She served God, as she served others, with her gifts and talents.

Shirley is survived by her sisters-in-law: Vivian Buschlen, Kathreen (Bruce) Hunt; several nieces and nephews; special friend, John Porterfield. She is preceded in death by her husband; her sisters: Maxine (Cliff) Stirrett, Grace (David) Reibling; brothers: Glenn (Marie) Buschlen, Leroy (Genevieve) Buschlen, Duane Buschlen, Calvin (Delores Ann) Buschlen, Clifford Buschlen.

Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 19, 2021 in Cass City United Methodist Church with Rev. Bob Demyanovich officiating. Interment in Elkland Township Cemetery.
