Daniel K. Wood, 62, of Gagetown died on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 in McLaren Bay Region, Bay City. He was born June 22, 1955 in Cass City, the eldest son of Orlo James and Vandelene Betty (Radabaugh) Wood. He married Sharon Ann Osentoski October 4, 1975 in St. Agatha Catholic Church, Gagetown.
Daniel was a certified auto mechanic and worked for J and C Service in Cass City and Howard Bell Service in Caro. He was a talented musician playing guitar and many other instruments. Dan and friends once formed the group “Image” and played for many area events. As a stock car enthusiast, Dan raced his car at Owendale Speedway and enjoyed watching races at the now Silver Bullet Speedway. Dan enjoyed watching NASCAR and Formula 1 racing on television. Although cars and music were very important to Dan, nothing could top his two granddaughters who loved their Popi very much.
Dan is survived by his wife, Sharon of Gagetown; his daughter, Jodi (Gary T. Czekai) Wood of Cass City; granddaughters: Sophie and Sydney; brothers: Joe Wood of Caro, Tom Wood of Gagetown; sister, Tina (Jim Bogucki) Crandall of Burr Oak; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Dale Wood, Dennis Wood.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 1, 2017 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Rev. Christian Tabares of Our Lady Consolata Parish officiating. Interment in St. Agatha Cemetery.
