Josephine Wolak, 78, of Kingston, died after a short illness, Wednesday, August 20, 2003. She was born March 17, 1925 in Cass City to Peter and Mary (Mroz) Kloc. She married Henry R. Wolak February 4, 1956 in St. Michael Catholic Church, Wilmot.

Josephine worked as a secretary for Wickes Building in Kingston for a few years. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and their Altar Society. Josephine, along with her husband, enjoyed dancing, especially polkas and made regular trips to the city for dances many years ago. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Josephine is survived by her husband, Henry; children: Karen (Larry) Lesowyk of Vassar, Mark Wolak of Harper Woods, Barbara (Bill) Clarke of Sandusky, Marvin (Denise) Wolak of Madison, AL; grandchildren: Patsy Crosby (Tony Stadler) of Kingston, Michael Broda, Kelly Broda and Michelle Clarke of Sandusky, Aaron Wolak of Madison, AL; great grandchildren: Brendon Crosby and Colton Stadler; sisters: Frances Kloc of Cass City, Eleanora Kloc of Cass City, Chesterine (Jerry) Blahut of Grosse Isle; brothers: Eugene Kloc of Cass City, Richard Kloc, Walter Kloc of Caseville. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Dale Broda; brother, Joseph Kloc.

Funeral services held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 23, 2003 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wilmot, with Rev. Rick Bokinskie and Sr. Riccardina Silvestri of St. Michael Catholic Church, Wilmot officiating. Interment is in St. Michael Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Michael Catholic Church, United Hospice of Marlette or American Cancer Society.

Visitation: 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, August 21, 2003, Kranz Funeral Home, Kingston
2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, August 22, 2003 with vigil service at 7 pm
