HENRY �"HANK RICHARD WOLAK
Henry R. Wolak, 80, of Kingston, died Wednesday, August 27, 2008 in Sanilac County Medical Care Facility following a short illness. He was born April 28, 1928 at home in Kingston to Zygmunt and Katarzyna (Ziobron) Wolak. He married Josephine Kloc February 4, 1956 in St. Michael Catholic Church, Deford. She died August 20, 2003.
Hank worked as a plumber for Ed Kaminsky in Kingston then for Marlette Mobile Homes and Active Homes in Marlette. He also was a dairy farmer for many years. Hank was a very active member of St. Michael Catholic Church and was a member of their choir. He was also a member of the Cass City/Gagetown Knights of Columbus #8892. Hank enjoyed welding and working with metal. He made many creative metal and wire sculptures and lawn art. Hank loved being a Grandpa.
Hank is survived by his children: Karen (Larry) Lesowyk of Kingston, Mark Wolak of Harper Woods, Barbara (Bill) Clarke of Kingston, Marvin (Denise) Wolak of Canton; grandchildren: Aaron, Michael, Kelly, Michelle, Patsy; great grandchildren: Marvin, Caleb, Ahna, Colton; brothers: John (Victoria) Wolak of Deford, Anthony Wolak of Troy; sister, Genevieve Jamula of Wyandotte; sister-in-law, Lee Wolak of Kingston; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by: great grandson, Brendon Crosby; son-in-law, Dale Broda; brothers and sisters-in-law: Walter Wolak, Frank and Josephine Wolak, Joe and Lillian Wolak; Hattie Wolak; sisters and brothers-in-law: Sophie and John Gagel, Virginia and Louis Waryas, Peter Jamula and Mary Wolak.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 30, 2008 in St. Michael Catholic Church with Rev. Andrzej Boroch and Sr. Riccardina Silvestri officiating. Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Sanilac County Medical Care Facility, the American Cancer Society or St. Michael Catholic Church.
