VICTOR RUSELL WOEHLERT

78, of Decker, died unexpectedly Wednesday, January 29, 2020 in McLaren Bay Region. He was born June 4, 1941 in Mt. Clemens the second of four children born to Russell and Beatrice (Fisher) Woehlert. He married Betty Lou Otto February 25, 1961 in Bethel Temple Church, New Baltimore.

Victor graduated from Marine City High School. After his high school graduation Victor worked on oil rigs throughout Michigan and Ohio holding several responsibilities for about five years. He began a career with Ford Motor Company that lasted until his retirement after 32 years of service. Victor loved to read and would read anything that had writing on it. Victor volunteered his time at the Thumb Octagon Barn Agricultural Museum. He and Betty wintered in Sun City, AZ and for 13 years, traveled to Dunnellon, FL.

Victor is survived by his wife, Betty; children: Vickie George of Peoria, AZ, Bonnie (Ronald) Spruytte of Bellevue, Dianne Darga of Decker, John Woehlert of Algonac, Jim Woehlert of Marquette, Peter (Angel) Woehlert of Glendale, AZ; grandchildren: David George, Ron Spruytte, Danny Spruytte, Scott Hollweg, Amanda Stambaugh, Zachary Woehlert, Kevin Woehlert, Shannon Woehlert, Samantha Woehlert, Angel Woehlert, Jennifer (Mark) Holt, Kyle Bingham; great grandchildren: Savannah, Marshall, Scarlet, Victor, Ethan, Christopher, Coraline, Seth, Brielle, Kalista, Aria, Daxton, Ava, Niko. He will also be remembered by his siblings: Joan Morrison of Marysville, Vera Metz of Columbus, Donna (Ronald) Stahl of Columbus; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Phillip Woehlert.

Funeral service held 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 3, 2020 in Lamotte Missionary Church with Pastor Karl Williams of Lamotte Missionary Church officiating.
