GERALD WINCHESTER,
84, of Caro, formerly of Gagetown, died following a long illness Thursday, March 24, 2016 in Heritage Hill Memory Care Unit, Caro. He was born September 4, 1931 in Cass City to Carl L and Jessie (Andrews) Winchester. He married Betty Mosher November 22, 1967 in Cass City. She died September 18, 2013.
Jerry worked as a self employed farmer. He enjoyed watching Tiger baseball. Jerry and Betty were always by each other's side in everything they did. Jerry had lots of stories to tell to anyone who would listen.
Jerry is survived by many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brothers: John Winchester, James Winchester, Carlton Winchester, C.L. Winchester, William Winchester; sisters: Norma Fournier, Beulah Hobart, Gwen Sommers, Althea Lorenz, Jane Hudson, June Farnum and infant sister, Margaret.
Graveside service will be held later in the spring at his graveside in Grant Township Cemetery with Rev. Frank E. Mosher, Jr. officiating. Interment will take place in the spring in Grant Township Cemetery, Gagetown. Memorials may be made to Family Discretionary Fund in care of Kranz Funeral Home.
