Jessie M. Wilson, 95, of Deckerville, formerly of Cass City, died Wednesday, March 9, 2004 in Autumnwood of Deckerville, after a long illness. She was born October 28, 1908 in Elkland Township to James and Bertha (Root) Wilson. She never married.
Jessie worked for Harold Hendrick at his store in Wickware, which she eventually bought. She owned and operated the Wilson Country Store, for many years. Jessie was a friendly, nice person. She worked hard in her garden and in her store.
Jessie is survived by her niece, Margaret Wilcox and her family; Etselene and Jim Dorland of Deford; Shelly and Bill Chambers of Deford; Shane Bloomfield and Shania Chambers. Jessie is preceded in death by her sister, Lorena A. Wilson; and brothers: Pete W. Wilson, Jim E. Wilson and Leigh Wilson.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 13, 2004 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Pastor David Mercer of Deford Community Church officiating.
