LEE WILLS,
85, of Cass City died following a short illness Thursday, August 20, 2015 in Huron Medical Center, Bad Axe. He was born April 6, 1930 at home in Cass City the second of four children born to Stanley and Velma (King) Wills. He married Violet Gordon October 13, 1951 in Cass City.
Lee worked for Marlette Homes for 25 years, the last 15 as Assistant Plant Supervisor. He worked for the Human Development Commission in Caro for 13 years retiring in 1993. Lee was instrumental in creating and overseeing Cass River Construction. He was a licensed builder and loved working his farm. Lee served as Zoning Administrator for Greenleaf Township for 14 years. He enjoyed pheasant hunting in years past. He attended Mizpah Missionary Church. Lee and Violet enjoyed each other, their home and their family. Family was his greatest love.
Lee is survived by his wife, Violet; children: Gary (Michele) Wills of Caro, Gordon (Deb) Wills of Cass City; grandchildren: Christy (David) DeMeulenaere, Gordon Wills Jr., Jennifer (Kevin) Czekai, Greggory Wills, Jaclyn (Ken White) Wills, Kathryn Wills, Jeffrey Wills; great grandchildren: Camron and Erin Violet; sister, Arlene Lowe of Deford; brother, Harold (Karen) Wills of Cass City; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son, William Wills; sister, Dorothy Wessels.
Funeral service held 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 24, 2015 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Pastor Dale Bullock of Mizpah Missionary Church officiating. Interment is in Elkland Township Cemetery. Pallbearers for Mr. Wills: Gordon Wills Jr., Gregg Wills, Jeffrey Wills, Dave DeMeulenaere, Ken White, Don Wessels Jr. Memorials may be made to Leader Dogs for the Blind or Easter Seals.
