BURNARD DOUGLAS WILLIAMS,
88, of Snover, formerly of Dickson, TN died Thursday, November 11, 2021 in Northwood Meadows, Medical Care Unit, Cass City. He was born February 11, 1933 in Dickson County, Tennessee to Willie Peyton and Stacy Ann (Edwards) Williams. He married Sandra Kay Chambers
September 10, 1983 in Michigan. She died December 15, 2015.
Burnard’s family moved to Michigan when he was young and he attended Highland Park Elementary School. He worked, as a trucker, for Brickley Dairy Farms of Detroit and numerous other companies before retiring in 1999. Following his retirement from trucking, Burnard moved back home to Dickson County. He attended Edgewood Methodist of Dickson County and loved tending to his vegetable gardens. He also enjoyed raising chickens, and his pigs, Charlotte and Wilbur. Burnard’s family will remember his playful, witty sense of humor and his gift of gab. He will also be missed by his fourteen-year-old, mountain feist dog, named Squirt.
Burnard is survived by his children: Martha McKeage of Mayville, Linda (Frank) Cilluffo of Snover, Jerry (Kathy) Williams of Imlay City, Burnard Eugene (Kathy) Williams of Clifford, Shirley (Lisa) Williams of Whitmore Lake, Danny (Mary) Williams of Shelby Township, Andy Williams of Capac; step children: Jennifer Uhl of Dickson County, TN; Robert (Tracey) Ferko of Dickson County, TN; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother, William “Bill” Williams. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Sandra.
Memorial service held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 20, 2021 in Bible Truth Baptist Church, Marlette with Pastor Bryce Hager officiating. Memorials may be made to Compassus Hospice of Cass City. Family and friends may share memories, prayers, and photos at www.kranzfuneralhome.com.
