IDA MAY WILES,
90, of Cass City, died Wednesday, October 16, 2013 in Hills and Dales General Hospital following a short illness. She was born March 1, 1923 at home in Elmwood Township to Wallace and Eliza (Evans) Morse. She married Floyd Otto Wiles November 27, 1941 at home in Elmwood Township. He died July 13, 1993.
Ida was a member of the Sutton Sunshine United Methodist Church. She was a member of Farm Bureau. Ida retired from the Caro Regional Center as a Nurse Supervisor after over 20 years. She and Floyd did a bit of traveling over the years visiting family in Germany, California, Florida, Texas and other locations in the North West United States. Ida enjoyed playing cards, sewing, knitting and crocheting. She made many pairs of mittens and hats that she gave to the schools for children who needed them. What Ida enjoyed most was playing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Ida is survived by her children: Beverly "Erica" Mosher of Lansing, Phoebe (Esat) Yazir of Bradenton, FL and Caro, Wallace "Bo" (JoAnn) Wiles of Cass City; grandchildren: Holly Mosher, Adam (Maria) Wiles, Aaron (Fallon) Wiles, Kristen (Matthew) Riley; great grandchildren: Sydney, Alexzander and Nova; sister, Ruth (Charles) Cutler of Frankenmuth; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her son, Hazen; sisters: Margaret Lounsbury, Lena Tuckey; brother, Charles Morse.
Memorial service held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 27, 2013 in Sutton Sunshine United Methodist Church with Rev. Dorothy Thom officiating. Interment will be in Ellington Township Cemetery.
