Mary Wilding, 89, of Cass City, died Thursday, October 16, 2003, in TLC Manor, Fairgrove. She was born March 20, 1914 in Futok, Yugoslavia to George and Roseanna (Zigonsei) Unterreiner. She married Franz Wilding April 8, 1933 in Yugoslavia. He died July 14, 1944 during WWII.
Mary was a refugee in Germany before coming to Michigan in 1949. She did housework and was a member of St. Pancratius Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening.
Mary is survived by her son, Julius Wilding of Fairgrove; grandchildren: Franz (Toni) Wilding of Caro, Julius (Melba) Wilding of Cass City, Stephan (Rose) Wilding of Akron, Chris (Monica) Wilding of TX, Denise (George Fry) Humphress of Fairgrove; great grandchildren: Julia, Trevor, Stephan, Tori, Travis, Angel, Erin, Andrew, Amanda, Cody, Ruben and Rolando; several great great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Helena Unterreiner of Munich, Germany; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her grandson, Walter; brothers: Adam, Franz, Lawrence, Matthew.
Funeral services held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 18, 2003 at St. Pancratius Catholic Church, Cass City, with Rev. Steve Fillion officiating. Interment is in Elkland Township Cemetery, Cass City. Memorials may be made to the St. Pancratius Catholic Church.
Visitation: 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, October 17, 2003
