LOIS LOUISE WHITTAKER
Lois L. Whittaker, 82, of Cass City, died Sunday, February 24, 2008 in Covenant Health Care System Harrison Campus, Saginaw, following a short illness. She was born September 30, 1925 in Haynes, AR to Rev. Alfred and Emma (Viney) Lowe. She married Earl Ray Whittaker November 7, 1942. He died November 2, 1984.
Lois attended Lee University in Cleveland, TN. She worked for General Cable for over ten years and for Summers Bakery for many years. Lois enjoyed sewing, crocheting and was a wonderful baker. She loved her flowers and working in her flower gardens. Lois truly loved and enjoyed having her family around her.
Those left to cherish and remember Lois include her children: Marilyn Walsh of Clermont, FL, Bishop Alfred (Joyce) Whittaker of Monroe, Earl Whittaker, Jr. of Deford, Helen (Norm) Lucier of Groton, CT, Tanya (Jeff) Warner of Deford; 16 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; sister, Lavon (Jarrett) Insco of Cleveland, TN; brother, Richard (Iris) Lowe of Clermont, FL; brother-in-law, Albert Smith of Lake Orion; sister-in-law, Marilyn Lowe of Knoxville, TN; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her daughters: Diana Whittaker, Linda Squires; son-in-law, Thomas Schaible; great granddaughter, Allyson Alizabeth Whittaker; sisters: Wanda Jean Bragg, Stella Nadine Smith; brother, Alfred Lowe Jr.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 29, 2008 in Living Word Worship Center, Cass City with Rev. Keith Misany and Claud Thayer officiating. Interment will take place in the spring in Elkland Township Cemetery. Pallbearers for Mrs. Whittaker are her grandsons: Jeff Whittaker, Robert Whittaker, Tyler Warner, Dean Schaible, Tom Schaible and Jep Bryant.
