THOMAS FREDERICK WHITE
Thomas F. White, 68, of Caro, formerly of Cass City, died following a brief illness Saturday, November 17, 2018 in McLaren Bay Region. He was born October 2, 1950 in Cass City, the third of seven children born to Frank “Bud” Frederick and Mae Elizabeth (Karr) White.
Tom graduated from Cass City High School in 1968. He joined the U.S. Army and was stationed in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Following his military commitment, he was self-employed as an independent long-distance truck driver. He enjoyed working on “hot rods” in his spare time and was fond of his 1961 Chevy Impala. Tom’s hobbies included deer hunting and flying remote control airplanes. He loved spending time with family and friends camping, especially in Evergreen Park. Tom was a Gift of Life Donor and would be proud that many will benefit from his donation.
Tom is survived by his daughter, Yarnell Bouverette of Bad Axe; his grandchildren: Emma, Benjamin, Hannah; his siblings: Duane (Sally) White of Bridgeport; Joann (Rusty) Martindale of Cass City; Robert (Barbara) White of Cass City; Lisa Mester of Cass City; many nieces and nephews; his girlfriend, Mary McAnany of Caro. Tom is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Kenneth White; sister, Jane Wass.
Memorial service held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 28, 2018 in Cass City VFW Hall with Brad Speirs of Novesta Church of Christ officiating. Military honors conducted by Cass City VFW Post #3644. Interment will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Memorials may be made to the Family Discretionary Fund.
