GORDON ARLEY WATSON,
64, of Deford died unexpectedly Monday, February 8, 2016 in Covenant Medical Center, Cooper Campus, Saginaw. He was born April 21, 1951 in Cass City to Arley Nolan and Shirley May (Robinson) Watson.
Gordon worked for many years in the equine industry as a farrier and raising and training horses. Gordon's grandmother raised him to be very self sufficient. She taught him to cook, to sew and to grow a garden. He enjoyed working in his "community" garden that many others helped with also. Deer hunting, fishing, ice fishing, motorcycle riding and playing cards were favorite pastimes of Gordon's. Gordon enjoyed a good game of baseball and enjoyed coloring with his children and grandchildren.
Gordon is survived by his daughters: April (Dean) Piske of Millington, Tammy (Tony) Minard of Snover, Dollie Watson of Flint, Annette Watson of Cass City, Cheyenne (Marcus) Watson of Mayville; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; girlfriend, Sheryl Clouse; siblings: James Watson of Flint, Lora Dombey of Flint, Yvonne (Jeff) Haag of Marcellus, Jay D. Watson of Union City; many nieces and nephews. Gordon is preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial service held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 13, 2016 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Brad Speirs of Novesta Church of Christ officiating.
