JANE MARIE WASS,
57, of Cass City, died unexpectedly Tuesday, February 26, 2013 in her home. She was born July 7, 1955 in Cass City to Frank and Mae (Karr) White.
Jane graduated from Cass City High School in 1973. At one time Jane worked for Gilligan's Restaurant as a bartender. She later worked for Parkway party store and Shell Gas Station and party store as a clerk. Jane's last job was with Deckerville Die-Form Company. Jane enjoyed sewing. She would often help neighbors and family with alterations. She enjoyed cross stitch embroidery and needlepoint. Jane also enjoyed keeping in touch with family and friends on Facebook. But one of Jane's greatest loves was baking and cooking. She made the best peanut butter cookies. Many neighbors and friends reaped the benefits of sharing her treats.
Jane is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Wass of Cass City; brothers: Kenneth (Marie) White of Elkton, Thomas White of Las Vegas, NV, Robert (Barb) White of Cass City, Duane (Sally) White of Birch Run; sisters: Joann (Roger) Martindale of Gagetown, Lisa Mester of Cass City, Fran Sampson of Bay City; numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial service held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013 in OwenGage High School Cafeteria in Owendale with Rev. Kyle Boils of Gagetown Nazarene Church officiating. Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Family Discretionary Fund.
