EVELYN ELIZABETH WARMBIER
Evelyn E. Warmbier, 96, of Cass City, died Thursday, November 23, 2006 in Tendercare Nursing Facility Cass City, following a long illness. She was born January 5, 1910 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada to George L. and Elizabeth M. (Clifton) Duncan. She married Alfred R. Warmbier on September 7, 1932 in Flint. He died November 13, 1960.
Evelyn worked at the Water Department for the City of River Rouge. She and her husband owned and operated Juniata General Store for ten years. Evelyn worked at Cardinal’s Dress Shop in Detroit for over twelve years. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and making quilts.
Evelyn is survived by her sons: Richard C. (Patricia) Warmbier of Richmond, Virginia, Gerald F. (Margie) Warmbier of Cass City, William J. (Linda) Warmbier of Caro; grandchildren: Carmen (Randy) Damm, Bill (Lori) Warmbier, Lori (Bill) Wright, CJ Warmbier, Scott (Miranda) Warmbier, Kelly Keinath, Elizabeth Anne (Scott) Delaney, Ken (Sarah) Warmbier, Alfred Warmbier; 16 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her sister, Irene Shanahan and brother, William G. Duncan.
Funeral services held 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 27, 2006 in Kranz Funeral Home Cass City with Chuck Emmert of Novesta Church of Christ officiating. Interment will be in Glen Eden Cemetery Farmington. Memorials may be made to The Salvation Army.
