ELIZABETH “BETTY” ANN WAREHAM
Elizabeth A. Wareham, 92, of Cass City, died Wednesday, February 25, 2009 in Hills & Dales General Hospital. She was born June 12, 1916 in Detroit to John and Margaret (Dann) Boon. She married Udell “Dell” Wareham May 28, 1938 in Detroit. He died January 5, 1987.
Betty attended the Cass City United Methodist Church and the Salem United Methodist Church and enjoyed helping in the kitchen for many years. She loved square dancing as well as knitting and crafting.
Betty is survived by her children, Janet Hurley of Cass City, Shirley Matson of Cass City; grandchildren, Lorie Hurley, Tammy Hurley, Steven (Pam) Hurley, Wendy (Rick) Skely, Peter (Rachael) Matson, Raymond (Anita) Matson, Cindy (Jeremy) Stilson; seventeen great grandchildren; brother-in-law: Addison (Liz) Wareham of Pt. Charlotte, FL and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2009 in Kranz Funeral Home Cass City with Rev. Paul Donelson of Cass City United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery. Pallbearers for Mrs. Wareham will be members of the Cass City Fire Department: Ron Pawloski, Glenn Guilds, Mick Kirn, Jeremy Somerville.
