GORDON KEITH WARE,
72, of Cass City, died unexpectedly in his home, Thursday, June 10, 2010. He was born July 15, 1937 in Cass City to Leo Stanley and Mardell Norean (Starr) Ware. He married Ella Jean Hill August 30, 1958 in Cass City. She died September 5, 1998. He married Patsy Marr April 30, 1999 in Lapeer.
Gordon graduated from Cass City High School and then attended Baptist Bible College in Clark Summit, PA. He served in the U.S. Army. Gordon worked for Walbro for a time and then for General Motors as an automotive painter retiring in June of 1999. He enjoyed bird watching, woodworking, camping, playing horseshoes, taking care of the lawn and coffee with the boy’s.
Gordon is survived by his wife, Pat; daughter, Deborah (David) Ritter of Cass City; son, Gregory (Linda) Ware of Owendale; Step-Children David Winters of White Lake, Debbie (Steven) Reed of Marlette, Daniel Winter of Port Huron; grandchildren: Corey Gilliam, Mathew Gilliam, Morgan Fisher; step-grandchildren: Jami Wilson, Joshua Sting, Tyler Winters, Lindsay Winters, Halle Reed, Bryce Reed, Caden Winters; great grandchildren: Gabrielle Gilliam, Ella Gilliam, Ethan Gilliam; step-great grandchildren: Dakota Wilson, Hope Wilson, Bradon Wilson, Cole Sting, Alex Sting, Madison Sting; brothers: Ferris (Carol) Ware of Shelbyville, IN, James (Joan) Ware of Cass City, David (Judy) Ware of Cass City; sister, Donna Nye of Cass City; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 14, 2010 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City. Interment will be in Novesta Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society. Pallbearers for Mr. Ware are: Corey Gilliam, Steve Reed, Gregory Ware, David Winters, David Nye, and Daniel Winter.
