RICHARD ALLAN "DICK" WALKER,
71, of Cass City died Wednesday, February 17, 2016 in Medilodge of Cass City. He was born April 7, 1944 in Evart to Reginald and Ila Belle (Loomis) Walker. He married Karen Beck in 1967. She died in 1977.
Richard was employed by General Motors as an assembly line worker. He was a member of the Caro Moose Lodge and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Cass City. Richard enjoyed travelling; especially, "up North" to Evart, Harrison and the Mackinaw Bridge. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, telling them stories and making them watch old movies. Richard was known to play Euchre and had a fondness for birds, especially cardinals and blue jays.
Richard is survived by his daughter, Lori Walker of Cass City; grandsons: Jaron Walker, Trevyn Conley, Austin Conley; granddaughters: Karen Muma, Savannah Muma, McKenna Carr, McLyne Carr; four great grandchildren; sisters: Frances Robinson and Viola "Kay" Walker of Cass City; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Wendy; grandson, Jacob Carr; great grandson, Cayden Conley; brothers: Wesley Walker and Robert Walker; sisters: Barbara Jean Fox and Marguerite Hillard.
Funeral service held 1:00 p.m. Sunday, February 21, 2016 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Brad Speirs of Novesta Church of Christ officiating. Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery, Cass City. Pallbearers for Mr. Walker: Jaron Walker, Trevyn Conley, Austin Conley, Ron Dibble and Danny Bergman.
