Rudolph Walk

Rudolph F. Walk, 94, of Caro, died Tuesday, July 1, 2003 in Marlette Hospice Residence. He was born August 2, 1908, in his home in Caro to Frank and Myrtie (Randall) Walk. He married Dorothy Wildner August, 29, 1930. She died November 20, 1988. He married Frances Kamen (Carr) October 14, 1989 in Kingston.

Rudolph graduated from Kingston High School in 1927 and then attended County Normal School. He taught in many rural schools. He retired from Kingston Elementary after teaching over 40 years. He was a member of the Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel and also a member of the Kingston Wesleyan Church. Rudolph taught Sunday school for many years. He had a Christmas tree farm and enjoyed fishing and gardening.

Rudolph is survived by his wife, Frances; granddaughter, Ronda (Bud) Benjamin of Caro; great grandchildren: Devin Benjamin of Fowlerville, Lisa (Matthew) Neal of Bay City, Victoria (Robert) Morris of Gulf Port, MS, Candi, Jamie and Joshua Benjamin of Caro; great great grandchildren: Bradley, Brady and Benjamin Neal, Elizabeth Benjamin; stepchildren: Raymond (Linda) Kamen of Deckerville, Donald (Elaine) Kamen of Livonia, Sally (Steve) Demaray of Welston, Virginia (Joe) McIntosh of Austin, IN, Esther (Joe) Westphal of Muskegon; 14 step grandchildren; 20 step great grandchildren; brother, Garth Walk of Caro. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy; daughter, Kathleen Ollila and four infant children; brother, Seeley Walk, 3 infant brothers and 2 infant sisters.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 5, 2003 in Kingston Wesleyan Church with Rev. Ken Sandefur officiating. Interment is in East Dayton Cemetery, Caro. Memorials may be made to Kingston Wesleyan Church, United Hospice of Marlette or the Teen Ranch, Marlette.

Visitation: 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday, July 3, 2003
2 to 5 & 7 to 9 p.m., Friday, July 4, 2003
