RODNEY LYNN WAKEFIELD,
51, of Gagetown died following a short struggle with lung cancer Monday, May 18, 2015 in Covenant Medical Center Cooper Campus, Saginaw. He was born November 30, 1963 in Cass City to Lloyd and Judy Montreuil. He married Suzanne Helen Keyser February 4, 1983.
Rodney worked for Deckerville Die Form, Regency Plastics in Ubly and most recently for Vita Plus in Gagetown. He enjoyed playing BINGO, casino games in Mt. Pleasant, and Nudge machines at Gilligans. Rodney also loved driving race cars. He drove street stock cars at the Silver Bullet Speedway in Owendale and at the Mt. Pleasant Speedway in Mt. Pleasant.
Rodney is survived by his wife, Suzanne; children: Heidi (Ron) Wakefield of Davison, Rodlynn Wakefield of Gagetown, Michael Keyser of IN; grandchildren: Hannah and Cole; brothers: Kevin Montreuil of Cass City, Donald (Patti) Montreuil of Gagetown; nieces and nephews: Holly Brooks, Monica Montreuil, Janet Montreuil, Eric Montreuil and Kayla Montreuil; parents, Lloyd and Judy Montreuil of Cass City; aunts and uncles: Bob (Pat) Jordan, Nancy (Delbert) Wright, Linda Brooks, Carol Wangrud, Kathy Olsen; many great nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by; grandparents, Frank and Myra Jordan; great grandparents, Clifford and Leona Eickhoff; uncle, Frank Jordan, Jr.; Suzanne's son, Matthew Keyser.
