MARIO ANGELO VISCONTI
Mario A. Visconti, 93, of Standish, formerly of Kingston, died Wednesday, April 23, 2008 in Bay Regional Medical Center, Bay City, following a long illness. He was born November 3, 1914 in Detroit to Anthony and Antionette (Soma) Visconti. He married Frances Theresa Barone July 8, 1939 in Detroit. She died October 23, 1996.
Mario was a shoemaker all his life. He learned the trade from his uncles on French Road in Detroit. Mario was a former member of St. Sylvester Catholic Church in Warren and a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Wilmot. He lived in the Warren area for 50 years before moving to Kingston in 1994. He liked gardening, carpentry and loved to play the lottery.
Mario is survived by his sons: Anthony (Rosalie) Visconti of Sterling, Ronald (Barbara) Visconti of Alanson; grandchildren: Nancy (Steven) Richards, Annette (Edward) Balbaugh, Anthony (Stacy) Visconti II, Anne Marie (Carl) Allen, Ronald Thomas Visconti Jr.; great grandchildren: Lauren, James, Hannah, Jennifer, Megan and Olivia; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brothers Louie, John and Dick Visconti and sister, Mary Fiore.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2008 in St. Michael Catholic Church, Wilmot with Sr. Riccardina Silvestri officiating.
