Patricia D. Viney, 94, of Cass City, died following a short illness Sunday, March 25, 2018 in Medilodge Nursing Facility, Cass City. She was born October 7, 1923 in Pontiac to William and Minnie (Sorensen) Jones. She married Albert Eugene Viney November 29, 1944 in Lucas, OH. He died November 1, 1972.
Pat’s work history includes Hamill Manufacturing in Bad Axe, Walbro Manufacturing in Cass City, and Quaker Maid in Cass City where she worked as a sales clerk. Pat was known for her tasty pies and once supplied Pizza Villa with pies for dessert offerings. She enjoyed crocheting, making afghans for family members. Pat was very artistic and enjoyed drawing, and painting with oil and watercolors. She enjoyed sending greeting cards for every special occasion. Pat also enjoyed attending and having garage sales. She loved to drive and it was a sad day when she couldn’t drive anymore. Pat enjoyed helping others, she loved to babysit her grandchildren, and donate to charities. She loved to feel needed. Pat was very stubborn but especially sweet.
Pat is survived by her children: Bernard Viney of Perry, FL, Robert (Mary Ann Laster) Viney of Kissimmee, FL, Garry (Maria) Viney of Kissimmee, FL, Cheryl (Stephen) Osentoski of Cass City; grandchildren: Richard Woods, Bernard Viney, Kendra Viney, Jamie Viney, Trisha Viney, Nicholas (Autumn) Osentoski, Christina (Jason Spencer) Osentoski, Jason (Vicki) Barthel, Patsy Viney, Shandy Viney, Brandy Viney; 14 great grandchildren; her first great great grandchild due soon. She is preceded in death by her sons: Joseph Viney, Terry Viney; granddaughter: Tracie Viney, Mandy Viney; grandsons: Joseph Viney, Lee Viney; stepdaughters: Jeanette Malone, Bonnie Havens; brothers: Howard Jones, Russell Jones, Bernard Jones.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2018 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Pastor Jim Fader of White Cloud Church of God officiating. Interment will be in Ellington Township Cemetery. Pallbearers for Pat will be: Christina Osentoski, Nicholas Osentoski, Bernard Viney, Jr., Jason Barthel, Jason Spencer and Kareem Khoury.
