Julia T. Vinci, 73, of Cass City, died Saturday, October 4, 2003 in Heartland Healthcare, Bridgeport. She was born October 12, 1929 in Cleveland, OH to Stephen and Julia (Takarich) Laszlo. She married Sebastian “Cass” Vinci, December 13, 1969 in Waukegan. He died May 8, 1987.
After World War II, Julia enjoyed dancing to Benny Goodman and Harry James at various clubs in the Detroit area. She enjoyed playing cards with friends. Julia was a voracious reader, enjoying everything from Science Fiction to Mysteries. She was a fiercely independent woman.
Julia is survived by her sons: Michael (Barbara) Madarasz of Canoga Park, CA and Paul Madarasz of Tucson, AZ; grandchildren: Joshua Madarasz and his wife, Billie Jean, Graham Madarasz, Jessica Madarasz and her husband, Jose Luis Cordova; great grandchildren: Antonio Carlos Cordova, Kathryn Brianna Madarasz, Merissa Diane Madarasz, Nancy Mae Madarasz, Morgan Ashley Madarasz, and Michael Ray Prince; sisters: Rose (Dennis) Hancock of Cass City, Liz Zajac of Kingston; brothers: John (Janet) Laszlo of Cass City; Michael (Donna) Laszlo of Royale Palm Beach, FL; many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 10, 2003 at Novesta Township Cemetery, with Scott Mills of St. Pancratius Catholic Church, Cass City, officiating. Interment is in Novesta Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
