CHRISTINA MARIE VALDEZ
Christina M. Valdez, 25, of Cass City, died unexpectedly Tuesday, January 13, 2009 in St. Mary’s Medical Center Saginaw. She was born July 25, 1983 in Pontiac to Manuel and Lauri (Warren) Valdez.
Christina graduated from Cass City High School in 2003. During high school she participated in Youth For Christ activities and was involved in youth missions. She attended Tuscola County Tech Center for several years. Christina worked for Subway both in Cass City and in Caro Wal-Mart. As a young girl Christina loved to fish. She loved singing and listening to music. Christina had a great love for the Lord.
Christina is survived by her parents: Manuel and Lauri Valdez of Cass City; sisters: Leathesia Valdez of Brighton, Maria Valdez of Cass City; brothers: Christopher Valdez of Cass City, Justin Valdez of Cass City; nephew, Colin Valdez of Brighton; Aunts and Uncles: Donna (Reggie) Taylor of Midlothian, VA, Bob Warren of Pontiac, Robin (Ron) Hall of Waterford, Jacque (Craig) Dickerson of Mesquite, NV, Keith (Chris) White of Eudora, KS, Kevin White of Virginia Beach, VA, Miguel Valdez Jr. of Waterford, Mary Ann (Dan) Kotcher of White Lake, Bernadette (James) Barnes of White Lake, Viola (Rudy) Moran of White Lake; grandparents: Pete and Lois Clayton of Mesquite, NV, Donald and Patricia Warren of Rector, AR; many cousins. She is preceded in death by her uncles: David Valdez, Joe Valdez and Juan Valdez; grandparents: Miguel and Trinidad Valdez.
Funeral service held 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 15, 2009 in Kranz Funeral Home Cass City with Pastor Jake Stirnemann of Troy Christian Chapel officiating. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery in Waterford. Memorials may be made to Family Discretionary Fund.
