Valerie Ussery

Valerie E. Ussery, 33, of La Porte, IN, formerly of Cass City, died suddenly Monday, September 12, 2005 in La Porte, IN. She was born March 9, 1972 in her grandmother’s home in Cass City to Larry and Linda (Goodall) Ussery. Valerie never married. Valerie graduated from Cass City High School. She worked for Thumb Meat Market in Caro, IGA in Cass City and later, Farmer Jacks in Bad Axe. Valerie currently worked as a supervisor in a manufacturing plant in La Porte, IN. She was a former member of Cass City First Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed needlework, knitting, crocheting and was an avid reader. Valerie is survived by her father, Larry D. Ussery of Kingsford Heights, IN; grandmother, Jesse Goodall of Cass City; uncles: Gordon (Janice) Goodall of Sanford, Grant (Renee) Goodall of Port Huron; many cousins. She is preceded in death by her mother, Linda E. Goodall Ussery who died December 6, 1997; brother, Larry David Ussery who died February 22, 1994; grandparents: Gordon Alfred Goodall, Otis and Carolyn Ussery. Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 16, 2005 in Kranz Funeral Home Cass City with Rev. David Blackburn of Cass City First Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery, Cass City. Memorials may be made to Cass City First Presbyterian Church Window Restoration Fund.
