ALICE MARIE TURNER
Alice M. Turner, 76, of Cass City, died Friday, October 28, 2005 in her home with her family by her side. She was born March 2, 1929 at home in Caseville to Louis and Mary (Nagy) Kelterborn. She married Jim Turner April 29, 1978 in Adrian.
Alice was best known for her love of farming. She worked for General Cable for a short time. She loved to bowl. She played pool, golfed and played euchre. Alice loved the outdoors, especially working in her flower gardens. She enjoyed painting the wooden craft items Jim made in his shop.
Alice is survived by her husband, Jim; children: John (Betty) Matt of Saginaw, Susan (John) Blair of Saugatuck, Kris Matt of Unionville; step-children: Susan (Dan) Romzek of Ruth, Bryan Turner of Cass City, Kathy (David) Harris of Burlingame, CA; grandchildren: Jason Blair, Alissa Blair, Kelsey Blair, Melanie Matt, Russell Matt, Shannon Matt, Nicholas Matt, Nathan Matt; step-grandchildren: Chad (Tracy) Romzek, Tobie Romzek, Gavin (Claire) Romzek, Jesse Turner, Jennifer Turner, Amelia Harris; two great grandchildren; five step-great grandchildren; brothers: Art (Virginia) Kelterborn of Lansing, Alfred (Mary Lou) Kelterborn of Caseville, Richard (Janis) Kelterborn of Clarkston; sisters: Ruth (Hank) Wille of Traverse City, Evelyn (Warren) McLaury of Hastings; sister-in-law, Jean Kelterborn of Little Rock, AR; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her step daughter, Jean Ann Turner; brothers: Bill Kelterborn, Bob Kelterborn; sisters: Ida Warson, Helen Wilson.
Funeral service held 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 31, 2005 in Kranz Funeral Home Cass City with Pastor JT Mabe of Mizpah Missionary Church officiating. Interment will be in Ellington Township Cemetery, Cass City. Memorials may be made to Ralph Retherford Fund. Pallbearers for Mrs. Turner are Nick Matt, Nathan Matt, Clay Kelterborn, Mark Kelterborn, Jay Matt, Ron Spaulding.
