SUSAN KAY GRACEY TRUEMNER
Susan K. Gracey Truemner, 59, of Cass City, died following a short illness, Sunday, May 20, 2018 in United Hospice of Marlette Residence Center, Marlette. She was born September 11, 1958 in Detroit to Garrison and Albina “Beanie” (Strelbitzky) Gracey. She married Dana Truemner May 25, 2012 in Cass City.
Sue worked in food service for many years beginning with her family owned restaurant, Wildwood Farms on Van Dyke. Over the course of many years, Sue worked as General Manager of Woodland Hills, Ubly Heights, Applebee’s and Uno’s. Sue worked for Curtis Chrysler in Cass City for the last ten years. She was very crafty making wreaths, sleighs and other things that she would sell at area craft sales. Sue also enjoyed working in her flower gardens or giving Dana instructions of what to do in her flower gardens. Dana and Sue went on many trips on their Harleys, which she loved very much. But her greatest love was her grandchildren. Whether it was watching a hockey game or a baseball game she loved cheering on her grandchildren. She loved taking them to water parks with a possible visit to Culver’s following.
Sue is survived by her husband, Dana; daughter: Andrea (Nicholas) Bowerman of Snover; step-children: Gary (Kathy) Truemner of Imlay City, Laura (Bobby Hampton) Sigler of Chicago, Keith Truemner of Owosso; grandchildren: Peyton, Blake, Morgan, Emily, Victorya, Austin, Lani, Kole; father, Garrison (Connie Grindstaff) Gracey of Ubly; sisters: Carol Kulish of Ubly, Donna (Brian Keller) Gracey of Ubly; brother, Mark (Becky) Gracey of Ann Arbor; nieces and nephews: Zachary (Rachel) Kulish, Paige (Abe Camero) Kulish, Garrison Gracey, Madelynn Gracey, Eaton Gracey-Keller. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Ashley Walsh; mother, Albina “Beanie” (Jerry) Dickelman; brother-in-law, Donnie Kulish.
Funeral service held 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2018 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Rev. Jackie Roe of Cass City United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery. Pallbearers for Sue will be: Zack Kulish, Garrison Gracey, Morgan Truemner, Mark Gracey, Rick Shene, Gary Truemner, John Churchill and Scott Hartel.
