Ray Tomlin, 79, of Deford, died Thursday, June 29, 2006 in Covenant Medical Center Cooper Campus, Saginaw. He was born January 28, 1927 in Detroit to Joseph and Lottie (Derus) Tomlin. He married Delphine M. Petrykowski August 9, 1949 in Hamtramck.
Ray served in the US Army during World War II. He worked for Hart Precision in Redford as a machinist until his retirement in 1965. Ray was a member of St. Pancratius Catholic Church, Cass City VFW Post #3644 and the John Deere Two Cylinder Club.
Ray is survived by his wife of 56 years, Delphine; children: Nancy (Charles) Mason of Deford, Jim (Cathy) Tomlin of Deford; grandchildren: Colin Mason and Emily Mason; sisters-in-law: Veronica Tomlin of Minden City, Josephine Danowski of Hamtramck; brother-in-law, Gerald (Ann) Petrykowski of Warren; nieces and nephews: Clifford Tomlin of Garden City, Denise (Mike) Mullett of Minden City, Norbert Danowski, Martin (Debbie) Danowski, Kathy (Gary) Schrader, Cindy (Jamie) McKean, Diane (Arnold) Gomez, Joe Petrykowski. Ray is preceded in death by his brother, Clifford Tomlin.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 3, 2006 in St. Pancratius Catholic Church with Rev. Steve Fillion officiating. Memorials may be made to Cass City VFW Post #3644.
