ARNOLD RAYMOND THOMAS
Arnold R. Thomas, 54, of Kingston, died unexpectedly Wednesday, September 24, 2008 in his home. He was born December 15, 1953 in Detroit to Kenneth E. and Arnoldina (Vander Kaay) Thomas.
Arnold was a self-employed mechanic for many years. He was an inventor and a dreamer, always thinking and trying to figure out how things worked and what he could build. He loved to tinker with things and could fix anything. Arnold had a generous heart and would reach out to people. He was a companion to the ill and elderly, to the disabled, the poor and those in need. He was a proud man, an independent man, and a devout Christian. He loved to talk about spiritual things. As a young man he was a Chaplain with the DeMolay organization. Arnold loved talking about the past and it’s simpler times and a proud mechanic before a computer was added to cars and other engines. He loved Kingston, his home and the 40 acres that surrounded it truly appreciating the nature that it held. He loved live music and appreciated musical talent. He had a great sense of humor. Arnold loved his children and was looking forward to meeting his new grandchildren.
