WILLIAM ROBERT TESNER
William R. Tesner, 79, of Atlanta, MI, died Sunday, August 1, 2004 in Medilodge of Yale, Yale, MI. He was born August 18, 1924 in Barnardsville, NC to Nathaniel and Pansy (Allen) Tesner. He married Irene Brumlow January 29, 1944 in Ring Gold, GA. She died July 15, 2004.
Bill served in the U.S. Army during World War II stationed in France, Belgium, and Germany. He started work as a carpenter and then as a logger. Bill later started his own sawmills, and then he bought and sold timber. Bill trained and sold dogs. He loved hunting, playing cards and his hound dogs.
Bill is survived by his children: Dennis (Trisch) Tesner of Croswell, Perry (Cathy) Tesner of Pompeii, Susan (Rick) Gault of Breckenridge, Dave (Chris) Tesner of Capac, Linda (Greg) Pomeroy of Forest Lake, MN, Mary (Dave) Barthelemy of Elk River, MN, Judy (Dave) Siegienski of Boca Raton, FL; grandchildren: Jacob Tesner, Shane Tesner, Tim Tesner, Michael Gault, Josh Gault, Bob Tesner, Sarah Tesner, Samantha Barthelemy; great grandchildren: Jenna and Nathaniel; brothers: Noah Tesner, Bernard (Nancy) Tesner, and Dewey (Barbara) Tesner; sisters: Ernestine (Harold) Edwards, Irene Harris, Madeline (Chuck) Kennedy; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son, Robert; brothers: Ed Tesner and Troy Tesner; sisters: Maggie Crane and Claire Scott.
Funeral services to be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 5, 2004 in Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison. Memorials may be made to Medilodge of Yale. Interment is in Pleasant Plains Cemetery, Harrison.
