SHIRLEY MAY TAVERNIER,
65, of Kingston, died following a short illness, Saturday, August 11, 2012 in Covenant Medical Center, Cooper Campus, Saginaw. She was born January 23, 1947 in Owosso to Clarence and Margaret (Skidburg) Ranes. She married Richard Carl Tavernier November 14, 1969 in Melvindale. They were married 43 years.

Shirley, a hard worker, worked in the manufacturing sector for many years most notably at Beaver Precision Products in Troy. Most recently Shirley worked for Rochester Gear in Clifford recently retiring after many years. She was a quiet, caring and generous woman who dedicated herself to the welfare and happiness of others before herself.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Richard; step-children: David Tavernier, Pama Tavernier, Robert Tavernier and Ted Tavernier; 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Graveside service held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 25, 2012 at Kingston Cemetery, Kingston with Debra L. Kranz, Funeral Service Celebrant officiating. Interment will be in Kingston Cemetery, Kingston.
