BEATRICE "NAMMY" ANN TALLMAN,
107, of Deford, died following a short illness Monday, July 11, 2016 in Tuscola County Medical Care Facility, Caro. She was born March 29, 1909 at home in Kingston to Edward and Mary (Harrington) Martin. She married Cleo Evans January 19, 1925 in Pontiac. He died December 3, 1969. She married Clifford Tallman December 12, 1973 in Wilmot. He died July 21, 1981.
Bea worked at and later ran Evans Grocery Store in Wilmot. She worked as Assistant Cook for Marlette Community Hospital for nine years. She ran the pickle sheds in East Dayton for a number of years. Bea was a member of Kingston Wesleyan Church. She enjoyed working in her flower beds and her vegetable gardens. Bea enjoyed entertaining her friends and neighbors and always had the coffee on. She would cook Sunday dinners for 18 people with ease.
Bea is survived by her granddaughters: Becky Schrader of Marlette; Mary (John) Ode of Clifford; great grandchildren: Lucas and Carrie Ann; niece, Grace; nephew, Jerry. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Beverly Schrader; brothers: Harvey Martin, Ernie Martin; sister, Edith Weeden; niece, Bonnie; nephew, Jay.
Funeral service held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 14, 2016 in Kranz Funeral Home, Kingston with Rev. Josh Byer of Kingston Wesleyan Church officiating. Interment will be in Kingston Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Kingston Wesleyan Church. Family and friends may share memories, prayers and stories with the family at www.kranzfuneralhome.com.
