ELEANOR THERESA SZOSTAK
Eleanor T. Szostak , 78, of Kingston, died Wednesday, October 5, 2005 in St. Marys Medical Center, Saginaw. She was born February 12, 1927 in Detroit to Joseph and Mary (Filip) Bieszczak. She married Walter Joseph Szostak July 9, 1955 in St. Michael Catholic Church, Wilmot. He died January 31, 1993.
Eleanor was known for her great cooking which she shared through her wedding caterings. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and their ladies alter society. Her church was very important to her. Eleanor was called �"Grandma by 32 children, whom she baby sat for over the years. She enjoyed cooking, was an avid reader and enjoyed word search puzzles. Eleanor was a member of the Polish American Club in Caro.
Eleanor is survived by her children: Theresa (Rodney) Smith of Cass City, Walter (Michele) Szostak of Cass City, Cathy Szostak of Kingston; 2 grandsons; Christopher Smith and Josh (Mary) Male; great granddaughter, Emma Male. Eleanor is also survived by special grandchildren: Allison, Wendy and Joe Walkiewicz. She is preceded in death by special grandson, Jonathon Walkiewicz.
Funeral service held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 8, 2005 in St. Michael Catholic Church with Rev. Reginaldo Salcedo and Sr. Riccardina Silvestri officiating. Interment will be in St. Michaels Cemetery, Wilmot. Memorials may be made to St. Michael Catholic Church.
