CHASE MICHAEL SZCZEPANSKI
Chase Szczepanski, 7, of Decker, died peacefully in his home with his family at his side, Thursday, April 5, 2007 after a long battle with cancer. He was born June 9, 1999 in Bad Axe to Edward and Tisa (Darr) Szczepanski.
Chase attended Campbell Elementary School and was a member of Mrs. LeValley’s first grade class. Chase was a happy, fun loving little boy. He liked hunting, fishing, NASCAR racing, sports of any kind and he was a great U of M fan. He had no fear and loved life.
Chase is survived by his parents: Ed and Tisa; sister, Courtney; grandparents: Thomas Szczepanski of Decker, Lois Swan of Decker, Chuck Darr of Saginaw; great grandfather, Walter Szczepanski of St. Clair Shores; aunts and uncles: Richard Szczepanski of Bradenton, FL, Charles Szczepanski of Harrison, Dawn (Ronald) Decker of Harrison, Tanya Darr of Decker, Terri (Darrell) Field of Deford; several cousins and many friends. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Linda Mullins; great grandparents: Walter and Maxine Goodall, Helen Szczepanski, Glen and Mildred Darr.
Funeral service held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 8, 2007 in Kranz Funeral Home Cass City with Chuck Emmert of Novesta Church of Christ officiating. Memorials may be made to Family Discretionary Fund. Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery. Pallbearers for Chase are: Tom Osantowski, Tom Szczepanski, Roy Smith, Kari Lohela, Darrell Field, Cliff Harris.
