LUELLA MAUDE STRANAHAN
Luella M. Stranahan, 95, of Cass City, formerly of Dearborn died Thursday, August 11, 2005 in her home. She was born February 17, 1910 in Flushing to John and Mary (West) Lee. She married Devere Gibson Stranahan March 3, 1927 in Bowling Green, OH. He died October 16, 1988.
Luella moved to Cass City from Dearborn in 1990 after her daughters retirement. She attended Cass City United Methodist Church. Luella enjoyed gardening, playing cards and caring for her grandchildren. She made great bread and cookies. While her husband was alive they traveled as much as possible, wintering in Florida, Arizona and California.
Luella is survived by her children: Lela Stranahan of Cass City, Mary Owen of Mayville, Phillip (Sheryl) Stranahan of Veldosta, GA; grandchildren: Ann (Alan) Zsolzai, Phillip (Lisa) Stranahan Jr., Gibson Edward (Sue) Stranahan; 11 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by son, Richard Gibson Stranahan; grandson, Richard Lee Curtis; brothers: Walter Lee, William Lee, Harry Lee.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 13, 2005 in Kranz Funeral Home Cass City with Rev. George Ward of Cass City United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Oxford Township Cemetery, Oxford. Memorials may be made to Cass City United Methodist Church.
