ELIZABETH MARGARET STINE,
95, of Cass City, died Monday, March 14, 2016 in Northwood Meadows Medical Care Unit. She was born August 5, 1920 in Bad Axe the youngest of three children born to Albert Frederick and Clara Anna (Ruthig) Wurm. She married Garrison Stine June 15, 1946 in Detroit. He died March 29, 1986.

Elizabeth graduated from Ubly High School. She worked for the Navy Department in Detroit. She was a former member of First Presbyterian Church of Cass City and a member of Cass City United Methodist Church and their Dorcas Club. Elizabeth was a member of the former Cass City American Legion Auxiliary. She was a member of Post Polio Syndrome group in Saginaw that she attended with Ruth Esau.

Elizabeth is survived by her children: Dean (Jackie) Stine of Algood, TN, Gloria (Roger) Nicholas of Caseville, Karla (Brian) Mrozinski of Pinconning, Ivan (Roxanne) Stine of Ubly, Scott (Karen) Stine of Saginaw, Randy (Christine) Stine of DeWitt; grandchildren: Angel (Rob) Sherman, Nicole Purgil, Corrie (Shawn) McArthur, Tammy (Ross) Robbins, Tina (Jerry) Klass-McDonald, Brett (Michelle) Nicholas, Stacie Marker, Tyson (Christy) Marker, Brad (Michelle) Stine, Brice (Kayleen) Stine, Brent Stine, Brandon Stine, Shelby Stine, Haley Stine, Andrew Stine, Sarah Stine, Connor Stine; great grandchildren: Roxanne Mitchell, Garrett Purgil, Cole Purgil, Rein Purgil, Payton Purgil, Gradon Tunnison, Grant McArthur, Piper McArthur, Chandler Robbins, Lindsay Robbins, Ross Robbins Jr., Rebecca Klass, Erica Klass, Mackenzie Nicholas, Kayla McDonald, Kimmie McDonald, Jimmy McDonald, Courtney Alderton, Lily Marker, Amelia Barber, Claudia Barber, Devin Stine and twin great grandchildren due in July; great great grandchildren: Alizah, Bowen, and Amia; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brothers: Edwin Wurm and Irvin Wurm.

Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 17, 2016 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Rev. Jackie Roe of Cass City United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery. Pallbearers for Mrs. Stine are her grandsons: Brett Nicholas, Tyson Marker, Brad Stine, Brice Stine, Brent Stine, Brandon Stine, Andrew Stine and Connor Stine.
