JOANNE MAY STEADMAN,
81, of Cass City, died Thursday, December 9, 2021 in Hills and Dales General Hospital, Cass City. She was born May 4, 1940 in Cass City. She married Joseph G. Steadman. He died October 6, 2020.
Joanne graduated from Cass City High School in 1958. She worked in the meat department of Erla’s Grocery Store for over twenty-five years. Joanne was a great cook and her family will miss her Hungarian cream chicken dish and her cabbage rolls. She was a loyal fan of the Detroit Lions and NASCAR. In her younger years, Joanne was fond of attending races at the local dirt tracks. She loved her grandchildren most of all and was blessed to able to watch her granddaughter dance.
Joanne is survived by her children: Joe (Faye) Steadman of Deckerville, Joy Watts of Cass City, Jeffery (Erica Jones) of Cass City; grandchildren: Kristin Watts, Tyler Loubert, Ella Steadman. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; grandson, Zachary Steadman; brother, Tom Dewey.
Burial will take place in the spring in Elkland Township Cemetery. Friends may share memories, prayers, and photos at www.kranzfuneralhome.com.
