LYDIA MARIE STACK
Lydia M. Stack, 81, of Gagetown, died Saturday, August 19, 2006 in her home following a short illness. She was born February 4, 1925 in Karlsbad, Czechoslovakia to Franz and Sophia (Cihar) Veit. She married Milton A. Stack October 19, 1953 in Germany.
Lydia, along with her husband, operated animal shelters in the Detroit area and in Sterling Heights for many years. At the time of her death she was President and Director of Aid to Animals of Michigan shelter in Gagetown. She loved animals and took pleasure in finding good homes for homeless dogs and cats.
Lydia is survived by her husband, Milton; son, Thomas (Lori) Stack of Oxford; granddaughters: Amber (Walter) Jewell of Hazel Park, Christy Stack of Pasadena, CA; great grandchildren: Lydia Sophia Jewell and Asa Jewell. Lydia is preceded in death by her parents.
