ROBERT DEAN SPENCER

Robert D. Spencer, 51, of Mt. Pleasant and Caro, died unexpectedly Tuesday, February 3, 2009 in his home in Caro. He was born April 29, 1957 in Cass City to Ernest E. and Juanita A. (Jackson) Spencer. He married Robin L. Mihacsi October 5, 1977 in Caro.

Robert was a member of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe of Michigan. He worked as a crew leader in grounds maintenance for the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe in Mt. Pleasant. Bob worked as a crew leader for the Tuscola County Human Development in Caro for 22 years. He was a member of Swan Creek Black River. He enjoyed hunting, especially deer hunting. Bob loved to be outside and in the woods. He truly loved spending time with his family, especially his girls and his grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his wife, Robin; daughters: Melissa Spencer of Caro, Stephanie (Wo Whiteside) Spencer of Caro, Sarah Spencer of Caro; grandchildren: Alyssa, Christopher and Sage; brothers: Mark E. (Mona) Spencer of Caro, Brad G. (Cheryl) Spencer of Caro; aunts and uncles: Fran and Ray Fisher of Mt. Pleasant, Joe and Carol Spencer of Vassar, Dick and Sharon Spencer of Caro, Georgia and Bob Shirey of Yucca Valley, CA, Glenna Spencer of Hillman, Jennie Vargo of Caro, Diane Spencer of Caro, Richard Knight of Shay Lake, Dave Mills of Caro; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Kenneth, Paul, Terry, Carl, Daniel, Ernest Spencer, Jr.; sisters: Debbie Spencer and Katherine Ernst; niece, Tammy Spencer.

Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 7, 2009 in Kranz Funeral Home Cass City. Memorials may be made to Family Discretionary Fund. Family and friends may share memories, prayers and stories with the family at www.kranzfuneralhome.com.
