Raymond Spencer

Raymond L. Spencer, 49, of Cass City, died Tuesday, June 24, 2003 in his home. He was born August 18, 1953 in Cass City to C. Wayne and June (Stevens) Spencer. He married Dorothy Neahusan November 16, 1973 in Caro.
Raymond worked in a saw mill for many years before he retired. He also farmed and raised cattle. He worked picking oranges with his wife in Florida many winters. Raymond enjoyed fishing in the Cass River, watching deer and visiting casinos.

Raymond is survived by his wife, Dorothy; step-daughter, Julie (Robert) Hall of Croswell; grandson, Jordan Hall; mother; June Szappon of Cass City; sisters: Laura Spencer of Cass City, Judy (Roger) Peters of Allegan; brother, Clinton (Diana) Spencer of Decker; nieces and nephews: Paula (Rick) Bolton of Cass City, Sheila (Ed) Yeo of Cass City, Shannon (Jimmy) Hollensted of Cass City, Cheyann (Mike) Parks of Cass City; Casey (Michael) Jackson of Cass City, Greg (Jodi) Peters of Allegan, Kirk (Shelly) Peters of Allegan; great nieces and nephews: Ashely and April Langley, Rachel and Kimberly Yeo, Jacob Parks, Diana Jackson and Caleb Peters; very special friend, Rick Slater of Cass City. He is preceded in death by his father, C. Wayne; uncles and aunts: Mason Spencer, Bernard Spencer, Evelyn Spencer and Shirley Periso.

Funeral service will be held 6:00 p.m., Saturday, June 28, 2003 at Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Chuck Emmert of Novesta Church of Christ officiating. Cremation will take place following services. Memorials may be made to the Family Discretionary Fund.
