JEFFREY ‘JEFF’ ‘SPENCE’ L. SPENCER
Jeff Spencer, 52, of Cass City, died Monday, October 24, 2005 in Lancks Cancer Center, Grand Rapids. He was born February 16, 1953 in Cass City to Jack and Vernita (O’Dell) Spencer.
Jeff graduated from Cass City High School in 1971. He worked for Buck Rabideau throughout the years as a heavy equipment mechanic. Jeff also worked as a heavy equipment mechanic at various jobs across the United States at oil fields, for railroads and on tug boats. Jeff loved music and enjoyed playing his guitar and giving lessons. He enjoyed playing music with his friends. Jeff loved Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
Jeff is survived by his children: Stephanie (Mike) Anderson of Cass City, Casey Spencer of Cass City; granddaughter, Erin; brothers: Roger (Pam) Spencer of Golden, MO, Graydon Spencer of Cass City; sisters: Jackie Sue (Herb) Deming of Wyoming, Kaye (Paul) Carmichael of Ionia; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents and foster children that he cared for.
Funeral service held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 27, 2005 in Kranz Funeral Home Cass City with Chuck Emmert of Novesta Church of Christ officiating. Memorials may be made to Family Discretionary Fund. Interment in Elkland Township Cemetery. Pallbearers for Mr. Spencer: Casey Spencer, Graydon Spencer, Kyle Spencer, Jonathon Bock, Matthew Bock and Dominick Vargo.
