DOYLE LEE SPENCER SR.,
77, of Cass City died following a short illness Tuesday, September 11, 2012, in Rendon's Young At Heart Adult Foster Care Home, Caro. He was born October 22, 1934 in Cass City to Earl Jacob and Violet (Lintner) Spencer. He married Donna Jean Beyer July 4, 1959 in Detroit. She died April 7, 1988.
Doyle worked for General Motors at Buick Flint for over 37 years retiring in 1989. He was a longtime member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Caro. Doyle loved working in his garden. He also enjoyed reading.
Doyle is survived by his children: Doyle Lee (Tammy) Spencer, Jr. of Pensacola, FL, Glen (Nancy) Spencer of Marlette, Kimberly (Nolan) Decker of Liberty, IA, Jeffrey (Adrainne) Spencer of Cass City; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters: Luella Kerbyson of Deckerville, Wanda (Harvey) Weller of Caro; brother, James Spencer of Caro; sister-in-law, Mary Lou Spencer of Cass City; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brothers: Leonard, Bernard and Lyle Spencer; brother-in-law, Blaine Kerbyson; half brothers: Mason Spencer, Wayne Spencer, John Marsh; half sister, Rose Ulschaffer.
Funeral service held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 15, 2012 in Kranz Funeral Home Cass City with James Krause of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Caro, officiating.
