Allen Edwin Spencer, 64, of Kingston, died Monday, December 26, 2016 in his home. He was born January 17, 1952 at home in Deford to Allen Edwin and Donna Jean (Vincent) Spencer. He married Alice Elizabeth Steele December 12, 1970 in Kingston United Methodist Church.
Allen graduated from Cass City High School in 1969. He went to welding school in Caro He worked as a delivery truck driver for Cass City Oil and Gas Company for many years. Allen served in the United States Army from 1972 to 1975. He enjoyed fishing of all types, deer hunting, race cars and all things NASCAR. Allen loved spending time with his family and working in his yard.
Allen is survived by his wife, Alice; son in law, Matthew Webb of Caro; grandchildren: Alysa Kluesner, Mason Webb, Paige Webb; mother, Donna Spencer of Deford; brothers: Gary (Marie) Spencer of Frederick, John (Gerry) Spencer of Deford, Rusty Spencer of Wisconsin; sisters: Gloria Osentoski of TX, Judy (Anthony) Albin of Flint, Deb (Terry) Fosdick of Paw Paw; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Marguerite (James) Caswell of Reese; brothers-in-law: Dennis (Diana) Steele of Deford, Arthur (Sue) Steele of Brighton; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Marie Spencer Webb and father, Allen Edwin Spencer.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 31, 2016 in Kingston United Methodist Church with Rev. Carol Abbott. Interment will be in Kingston Cemetery. Pallbearers for Mr. Spencer: Jeremy Spencer, Chad Spencer, Mike Spencer, Troy Spencer, Justin Huizar, Nick Chippi. Memorials may be made to Family Discretionary Fund.
