LILLIAN ROSE SORENSON,
85, of Cass City, died Sunday, June 29, 2014 in Huron Medical Center, Bad Axe, following a short illness. She was born July 26, 1928 in Detroit, the only child born to Orville and Irene (Gaps) Webster. She married Harold Lester Sorenson January 25, 1947 in Cass City First Presbyterian Church. He died October 6, 1987.
Lillian and Harold enjoyed square dancing many years ago. She enjoyed couponing, crocheting and making braided rag rugs. Lillian liked to be home. She liked to cook and serve her family. Lillian was known for her baking especially her Christmas cookies. She enjoyed the flowers that grew in her flower beds.
Lillian is survived by her children: Terry Milner of Roseville, Dale (Susie) Sorenson of Cass City, Lynn Sorenson of Cass City, Craig (Carolyn) Sorenson of Cass City; grandchildren: Conan (Mary Helen) Milner, Gavin (Stephanie) Milner, Nathan (Jennifer) Milner, Scott (Danielle) Sorenson, Jordan (Rick) Schank, Jason Sorenson, Kyle Sorenson, Liza (Jeff) Zulauf, Joshua Sorenson, Jared (Kassy) Sorenson, Justin (Lynzie) Sorenson, Caitlin (Ryan) Grimshaw; great grandchildren: Dakota, Austin, Alex, Alessandra, Alyssa, Alexa, Graham, Morgan, Lillian, Isaac, Ian, Henley and her 13th due in August.
Funeral service held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2014 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Pastor Tony Jacobs of Calvary Chapel, Vassar officiating. Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery. Pallbearers for Mrs. Sorenson are: Jared Sorenson, Justin Sorenson, Scott Sorenson, Kyle Sorenson, Jason Sorenson and David Sieracki. Memorials may be made to Family Discretionary Fund.
