Robert A. Smith, 62, of Cass City, died unexpectedly Friday, September 18, 2009 in his home. He was born January 7, 1947 in Pontiac to J.E. and Mildred (Gleasure) Smith. Mr. Smith never married.
Bob worked as a TV Repairman for companies in Royal Oak and surrounding area and also as an Electronic Technician. He later worked for Wilson Communications TV10 in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula as an Electronic Technician. Bob enjoyed deer and pheasant hunting and fishing. He was a Ham Radio Operator and a member of the local amateur Ham Radio Club. Bob regularly attended Cass City United Methodist Church with his dad.
Bob is survived by his father, J.E. Smith of Cass City; cousins: Raymond and Ruth Gleasure of Brown City. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Smith.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 21, 2009 in Kranz Funeral Home Cass City with Rev. Paul Donelson of Cass City United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Perry Mount Park Cemetery, Pontiac. Memorials may be made to Cass City United Methodist Church.
