EUGENE MARTIN SLATER
Eugene M. Slater, 80, of Decker, died Saturday, March 10, 2007 in Autumnwood Deckerville. He was born May 30, 1926 in Sandusky to John Henry and Rose (Laming) Slater. He married Velma Baldwin July 11, 1945. She died August 14, 1963.
Eugene attended First Baptist Church of Cass City. He enjoyed playing cards and visiting with friends and family. He worked as a mechanic for Doc’s Garage in Sandusky.
Eugene is survived by his brother, Alvin (Mabel) Slater of Shabbona; sister-in-law, Pauline Slater of Sandusky; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by sister, Gladys Davis; brother, Raymond Slater; and an infant brother and sister.
Funeral service held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2007 in Kranz Funeral Home Cass City. Memorials may be made to Cass River Pet Friendz. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Sandusky. Family and friends may share memories, prayers and stories with the family at www.kranzfuneralhome.com.
