LAWRENCE DAVID SKILES
70, of Cass City, passed away early Saturday, January 21, 2023 in his home with his wife by his side. He was born September 6, 1952 in Trenton to Arnold and Barbara (Miles) Skiles. He married Tammy Watros on May 18, 1988 in CA.
David graduated in 1970 from Cass City High School. He attended Lee College, TN for two years and later received a Bachelor of Business Administration from SVSU, graduating with honors. David enjoyed traveling the country. He moved to Southern California and worked as a representative for Southland Corporation. Upon returning to Michigan, he worked as a special projects manager for Clements Manufacturing in Decker. David had a strong faith in God. A self-taught musician, he began with guitar, but was able to pick up almost any instrument and play it within moments. Music was a large part of his life, and he passed down his love of music and musical talent, leading to generations of family with music in their blood. He shared his music with others, playing guitar in the Straywalkers Band, and spent many years teaching and leading praise and worship at Living Word Worship Center.
