WILLIAM JOSEPH SIEGGREEN,
71, of Cass City died Wednesday, September 16, 2015 in Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center in Saginaw. He was born March 11, 1944 in Saginaw to Norman and Meletine Rita (Gase) Sieggreen.
Bill served in the U.S. Navy for over 16 years including two tours as a Special Forces Operative in Vietnam. He then began a long career in the U.S. Merchant Marines spending many hours at sea. Bill served as a Reserve Police Officer in Hawaii for a time. He loved riding his Harley and hanging out at Wild John's with his friends each morning. Bill had a great sense of humor and loved to make people smile.
Bill is survived by his daughter, Brandy (Richard Yaworski) Sieggreen of Midland; brother-in-law, Larry Hollis of Cass City; nephews and their families: Lawrence (Tina) Hollis of Virginia Beach, VA, Richard (Connie) Hollis of Cass City, Steve Hollis of Salsburg, NC. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Ron Sieggreen, Butch Sieggreen; sister, Carole Hollis.
Funeral service held 7:00 p.m. Monday, September 21, 2015 in Kranz Funeral Home Cass City with Chaplain Perry Parker officiating. Interment will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
